Award winning Santa Fe singer songwriter Jaime Michaels will be celebrating the release of his 9th studio album “unknown blessings” with a concert on July 5th at Garrett’s Desert Inn music room as part of the Santa Fe Performance Exchange Concert Series.

Special guests will include guitarist Ben Wright, bassist Josh Martin, banjoist Tom Adler and vocalist Larkin Gayl. Also appearing will be the album’s producer, Jono Manson. Opening the show is Jose Ponce.

This is the 8th project Jono and Jaime have collaborated on. Their previous album, “the man with the time machine” won album of the year at the 2011 New Mexico Music Awards. “unknown blessings” is an album of songs written by folks with whom Jaime has spent time at the Kerrville Folk Festival. Some of the writers include Greg Trooper, Amy Speace, Dan Navarro, Jack Hardy & ten other great writers. Two of the songs were co-written by Jaime.

All proceeds from the sale of this album will be donated to the MusicCamp for Teens run by the Kerrville Folk MusicFoundation. It’s a wonderful program where kids get to leave their lives for a few days for a safe environment where they can learn to express themselves through songwriting of all kinds. Instructors include Roy Wooten (Futureman) and multi-award winner Steve Seskin (Peter, Paul & Mary’s “Don’t Laugh at Me”).
