Santa Fe Performance Exchange
Bringing local and national musicians to Santa Fe venues

Letter from Board President

December 15, 2011

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank you for your support this past year. And what a year it has been! We began in February presenting Chuck Pyle, our first show as the Santa Fe Performance Exchange, and our first sell out. We’ll end the year tomorrow night with a sold out performance by Chuscales and friends at the San Miguel Chapel. Along the way we’ve had the likes of Rory Block and Hillary Smith & Soul Kitchen sell out their respective shows.

It was a busy year for us presenting over 60 shows in multiple venues while forging relationships with other non profits such as the Lamy Railroad and History Museum, Southwest Roots Music (Thirsty Ear Festival), Learning Mind and the San Miguel Chapel. The first show of the new year also brings a new venue for SFPX. On Wednesday, January 18, 2012 we are pleased to welcome back the Laura Cortese Acoustic Project for a show at Vanessie’s.

Most performing arts nonprofit organizations cannot sustain themselves on ticket sales alone, and we are no different in that regard. Our organization is totally volunteer-driven and we have no paid employees. All donations, large and small, support our ability to continue to present local, national and international performing artists, and are very much appreciated.

Best wishes for a Happy New Year from all of us at SFPX!

Sincerely,

Rick Adesso
